GLADA renovates parks in Sector 39-A & Sector 40, Samrala Road

Ludhiana, February 10, 2026: The Greater Ludhiana Area Development Authority (GLADA) is committed to planned urban growth and enhanced quality of life for the citizens of Ludhiana.
In response to persistent requests from local residents, GLADA has commenced comprehensive repair, painting, and horticulture improvement works in the parks of Sector 39-A and Sector 40 along Samrala Road.
The development project was formally inaugurated on February 5 by MLA Daljit Singh Grewal who planted saplings to mark the beginning of the work. The event was graced by Ward Councillor Nidhi Gupta, Councillor S. Amarjit Singh, senior officials and staff of GLADA’s Horticulture Wing, and a large number of local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Daljit Singh Grewal highlighted that parks are essential to the city’s beauty and the health of its residents. He stressed that timely maintenance and thoughtful renovation, carried out in line with public demand, significantly improved the environment while creating safe, pleasant, and family-friendly community spaces.
The councillors present also commended GLADA for its prompt and citizen-focused initiative.
The project encompasses repair and strengthening of boundary walls, fresh painting of structures and fixtures, and horticulture development including new plantation, lawn improvement, and overall landscaping. The estimated cost of the entire work is approximately ₹14.30 lakh.
GLADA reaffirms its dedication to sustainable and planned city development, consistently addressing the genuine needs and expectations of residents. Similar efforts to upgrade green spaces, infrastructure, and amenities across Ludhiana will continue in the months ahead.
This latest park renovation reflects another meaningful step toward making Ludhiana a cleaner, greener, and more livable city for all its citizens.
