GLADA demolishes one unauthorized building
Following the directions of Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Kumar, its regulatory wing on Tuesday demolished one unauthorized building in village Ayali Khurd, South City.

Ludhiana, March 3, 2026: Following the directions of Housing and Urban Development Minister Hardeep Singh Mundian and GLADA Chief Administrator Sandeep Kumar, its regulatory wing on Tuesday demolished one unauthorized building in village Ayali Khurd, South City.
The developers did not stop the illegal construction work despite serving them with the notices, a special team carried out the sealing drive, which went unopposed.
The Chief Administrator appealed to general public not to construct building without approval/getting building plan sanctioned in unauthorized colonies as GLADA will not provide any facility like water supply, sewerage, electricity connections etc. The list of approved & regularized colonies along with their sanctioned maps is available on the Official Website of GLADA, which may be checked by the prospective buyers before buying any property.
Additional Chief Administrator-3 Glada Vikas Hira stated besides undertaking a demolition campaign, GLADA shall take action strictly as per law or initiate appropriate legal proceedings against persons who carry out unauthorized development in Ludhiana District.
