Girls Hostel No. 1, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” with the objective of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse. The event aimed to encourage youth to lead a healthy, disciplined, and addiction-free life.
Chandigarh, November 8, 2025: Girls Hostel No. 1, Panjab University, Chandigarh organised “Nasha Mukt Abhiyan” with the objective of spreading awareness about the harmful effects of drug and substance abuse. The event aimed to encourage youth to lead a healthy, disciplined, and addiction-free life.
The program began with a welcome address by Dr. Anju Goyal Warden, Girs Hostel-1, Panjab University, Chandigarh followed by an informative session on the physical, mental, and social consequences of drug addiction. Various speakers including Prof. Archana Chauhan and Dr. Rohini shared their insights on how drug abuse affects individuals and society.
Students participated actively in poster making, and short skits focusing on the theme “Say No to Drugs.” Pamphlets and banners with awareness messages were displayed throughout the campus to reach a wider audience.
The event concluded with a pledge by all participants to stay away from drugs and motivate others to do the same. The Nasha Mukti Abhiyan successfully spread awareness and strengthened the collective resolve to create a drug-free community.
