Mohali, August 5, 2026: Gian Jyoti Global School, Phase 2, organized a unique eco-friendly fashion show titled 'Recycle Runway' with the objective of creating environmental awareness and encouraging creativity among children. Little students from Nursery, L.K.G., and U.K.G. participated enthusiastically in the event, captivating everyone by transforming discarded items into attractive and creative outfits.
Centering around the message of "Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle," students walked the ramp wearing costumes made from newspapers, cardboard, paper bags, plastic bottles, and other recyclable materials. The innovative presentations of the children delivered an impactful message that items considered waste can be transformed into useful and meaningful forms.
During the event, students also delivered enchanting recitations of poems and short stories, spreading awareness about protecting the environment through small actions in daily life. Their performances deeply impressed the audience and reinforced a sense of environmental responsibility.
The program concluded with a prize distribution ceremony, where students were honored for their creativity, confidence, and efforts in promoting a sustainable lifestyle.
Speaking on the occasion, School Principal Gian Jot stated that children are the strongest messengers of change. If they understand the importance of waste reduction and environmental conservation at a young age, these values stay with them throughout their lives.
