Ghar ghar rozgar mela at GNA University

Jalandhar, September 11, 2019: GNA University organized Ghar Ghar Rozgar Mela in collaboration with Punjab Government under the scheme Ghar Ghar Rozgar.
The main motive of this Mela was to provide the jobs to the youth of Punjab under one rooftop. Representatives from 50 companies’ namely Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, LIC, Airtel, Clarks Inn, Jana Small Finance Bank, HDFC Ergo, Club Cabana, Sarovar Portico and many more participated in this Mela to find the best available talent with more than 1000 job opportunities.
The Rozgar mela was different in itself. Around 1200 candidates appeared at the Mela. Neelam Mahey, District Employment generation and Training officer, Kapurthala appreciated the endeavours of the University. She said, “The University has made tremendous efforts in making the Mela successful and I am happy to see the fervour among the youth.”
All over Punjab the youth participated in the Mela. Gurdeep Singh Sihra, the Pro-Chancellor GNA University appreciated the efforts of Captain Amrinder Singh, Chief Minister of Punjab and Charanjit Singh Channi, Techincal Minister of Punjab for the initiation of this project and providing job opportunities to the youth. He even said, “I am happy to see the concern of the Government for the unemployed youth. This Mela I believe has given a nice platform for all the youth who are in dire need.”
Dr.V.K. Rattan, the Vice Chancellor, GNA University congratulated the whole family of GNA for putting their best efforts in making the event successful. He said, “We have a done a deed of good work and it will indeed bless many unemployed.”
