GGN Campus Placement Cell organizes MEGA JOB FAIR in association with District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises

Ludhiana, August 22, 2025: GGN Campus Placement Cell, in collaboration with the District Bureau of Employment & Enterprises (DBEE), Ludhiana, organized a Mega Job Fair that witnessed an overwhelming response from students and industry alike.

More than 875 students registered for the fair, while over 45 reputed companies participated to recruit candidates for various positions including Managers, Office Executives, Operators, Accountants, Back-End Support Team, Pharmacists, Marketing Executives, Hospitality Professionals, Production Executives, and Support Teams. Students from GGN Campus constituent colleges—GGNIMT, GGNIVS, GGN Khalsa College, and GGN Khalsa College of Pharmacy—actively participated in the event.

The Mega Job Fair was inaugurated by Chief Guest V.K. Goyal, a renowned Business Leader with over 40 years of rich experience across multiple industries and former Chief Executive at Vardhman and Trident Groups. Speaking on the occasion, Goyal emphasized that industry-academia collaboration is the key to bridging the skill gap and ensuring students are employment-ready. He lauded the initiative of GGN Campus and DBEE in creating a platform that connects young talent with leading corporates, thereby empowering youth to build successful careers.

Amarjit Bains, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, highlighted the role of the District Administration in generating employment for students and youth across the district.

More than 252 candidates were shortlisted and 118 selected by leading corporates such as Airtel, HDFC Bank, FMI, Ankit Steels, Rapido, Walmart Best Price, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, HDB Financial, Saachi Associates, and many others.

Dr. Harpreet Singh, Principal, GGNIMT, elaborated on the rationale for organizing the Mega Job Fair, stressing on the commitment of GGN Campus Institutions to provide meaningful employment opportunities to students. He also appreciated the efforts of the Placement Teams from all GGN institutions.

Prof. Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT, welcomed the dignitaries, participating recruitment companies, and student participants for their enthusiastic involvement. Dr. Deepak Walia, Head, Department of Commerce and Coordinator Placements, GGN Khalsa College, delivered the Vote of Thanks, extending gratitude to the guests, DBEE, and corporate partners.

Dr. Parvinder Singh, Coordinator, GGN Campus Placement Cell, highlighted the continuous initiatives of the Placement Cell, including motivational sessions, training workshops, special recruitment drives, and mega job fairs to enhance employability skills of students.

The event was graced by Dr. S.P. Singh, President, GKEC, Harsharan Singh Narula, Hony. General Secretary; Kuljit Singh; and Hardeep Singh, Senior Members, GKEC, who extended their best wishes to the organizing team and the selected students.
