GBP Box Cricket League Season-2 begins

Chandigarh, October 13, 2018: The exciting Season-2 of the GBP Box Cricket League (BCL) started here today. The tournament is being organized by Sportsaga, a leading sports event management company, on the grounds of Strike Chandigarh, behind the Lake. It will continue on Sunday also.

Piya Kohli, Director, Sportsaga said, “The first day of the tournament was quite exciting and all the teams enjoyed the matches. Sportsaga has great plans to keep entertaining Tricity with more sports events for corporate employees where they can Play, Enjoy, Relax and Repeat.”

The event is packed up with a number of cash prizes, tempting food and refreshments by Horseshoe, music and lot of gift vouchers.

More than 20 corporate companies, including State Bank of India, Canara Bank, AU Bank, eClerx, Finxera, Spectraforce, ITCC, Testing Xperts and Jalandhar Devils are participating in the tournament. The event is being presented by GBP (Gupta Builders & Promotors) Group and is powered by the new Mahindra Marazzo, while the banking partner for this event is HDFC Bank.

Sportsaga has initiated a movement called #corporatefitindia, thus promoting fitness in corporates through sports activities.

Ultimate Fitness batting first scored 27/5 (6Overs) and in reply Wilder Beast won comfortably by scoring 29/2 in just 2.3 overs

SBI scored 38/4 in 6 Overs and in reply BD got pass the total in 3.2 overs with no loss of wicket

Achievers Compitech vs GBP

GBP batting first scored 28/4(6 over’s) in reply Achievers scored target in 4.5 over’s winnng by 1 Wicket

ITCC scored 94/4 in their 6 overs and in reply Finxera were bowled out at 35 leaving ITCC winning by 59 runs

Wilder Beast batting first set a target of 68/3 (6 overs) in reply SBI just managed to get 50/3 in their 6 overs

BD Cricket Team Vs Ultimate Fitness

Ultimate Fitness batting first set a target of 23 and in reply BD Cricket team was able to achieve it in 2.5 with no loss of wickets

Spectraforce 2 Vs Jalandhari Devils

Jalandhari Devilzz batting first set a target of 71/4 (6.0 Overs) and in reply Spectraforce -2 were bowled out for 35.

Group C Match

SPF Warriors vs Shruglife

SPF batting first set a target of 62/1 (6 overs) and in reply Shruglife were able to achieve target with 1 ball to spare.

Group D Match

HDFC Bank vs GM Traders

HDFC batting first posted total of 52/3 (6.0) and in reply GM traders only managed to get 42/3(6.0)
