Ludhiana, October 28, 2025: The Chamber of Industrial and Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana, proudly hosted a group of bright students from the University of Jammu (MBA – International Business) for an immersive industrial learning visit at the CICU Complex, Focal Point, Ludhiana.
The visit was designed to connect classroom learning with practical exposure to global trade, entrepreneurship, and modern industrial ecosystems — offering a unique platform for students to understand how India’s manufacturing sector is gearing up for international competitiveness. During an interactive Q&A session, Upkar Singh Ahuja, President of CICU, and Honey Sethi, General Secretary, shared invaluable experiences from their professional journeys. Sh. Ahuja motivated the students to embrace challenges as opportunities and to stay committed to their dreams with patience and perseverance. “Success in business isn’t a race — it’s a journey of learning, persistence, and integrity. Keep moving forward with courage and curiosity,” said Sh. Upkar Singh Ahuja, inspiring the young visitors.
Adding depth to the learning experience, Vinod Kumar, Export Trainer and Senior Faculty at CICU, conducted an engaging and insightful session on Import–Export Management and International Trade Opportunities. He guided the students through the entire export process, from product identification and documentation to compliance, logistics, and market entry strategies. With his vast experience in training entrepreneurs and MSMEs, Kumar emphasized the importance of understanding global market dynamics, trade finance, and digital transformation in exports. His session helped students visualize how theoretical concepts translate into real business practices in today’s competitive world.
The students also toured CICU’s Centre of Excellence, where they explored cutting-edge technologies in manufacturing, automation, and skill development. They showed keen interest in how the Centre empowers MSMEs and startups with hands-on technical training, innovation projects, and process improvement initiatives. “The future of Indian industry belongs to those who think globally and act locally. CICU is proud to nurture this spirit among young minds,” remarked Honey Sethi, General Secretary, CICU.
CICU continues to champion industry–academia collaboration, fostering a culture of innovation and practical learning. The organization believes that empowering students with real-world insights and entrepreneurial thinking is essential to building a strong and globally competitive India. The visit concluded with an interactive exchange of ideas and reflections, leaving the students deeply inspired and better prepared to contribute meaningfully to India’s industrial growth story.
