Fun learning activity ‘Learning to choose healthy food over unhealthy food’

Jalandhar, May 23, 2022: Ivy World Play School, Civil Lines, Jalandhar organized a fun learning activity ‘Learning to choose healthy food over unhealthy food’ under the superior guidance of the management of the school, Chairman Sanjeev Kumar Vasal, Vice President Ena Vasal, CEO Raghav Vasal, Director Aditi Vasal, Principal Ms. Sanjeev Chauhan and Headmistress Shefali Sharma.

The activity aimed at bringing into view that, ‘The delicious, tasty and convenient food popularly known as ‘junk food’ can be transformed into a nutrient rich, healthy and wholesome diet’. Good nutrition is the cornerstone for good health throughout one’s life.

The activity was held in school premises and the aesthetics were remodeled according to the theme. Children were provided healthy ingredients to prepare a nutritious burger. Children were taught that unhealthy ingredients could be substituted with the nutritious ones without compromising with the taste of the burger. Children learned early numeracy skills and literacy skills.

Culinary is an important life skill which was acquired by the children through this hand on activity. This activity gave an opportunity to the young learners to work and complete a task together. It was enlightening for the students that the so called ‘junk food’ could be replaced by healthy options.

The enthusiastic participation of Ivyians was highly acknowledged and appreciated by the school. In the end, everyone relished the delectable and mouthwatering healthy burgers.
