Free Multispecialty Medical Check-up & Blood Donation Camp Held

As part of a special programme dedicated to social service and public health, a free multispecialty medical check-up camp, blood donation camp, and Kirtan Sammelan were successfully organized at Ramgarhia Bhawan, Sector 27D. This programme was jointly organized by the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation (Regd.) and the Welfare Committee, Ramgarhia Sabha, Sector 27D, Chandigarh.

Free Multispecialty Medical Check-up & Blood Donation Camp Held

Chandigarh, March 10, 2026: As part of a special programme dedicated to social service and public health, a free multispecialty medical check-up camp, blood donation camp, and Kirtan Sammelan were successfully organized at Ramgarhia Bhawan, Sector 27D. This programme was jointly organized by the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation (Regd.) and the Welfare Committee, Ramgarhia Sabha, Sector 27D, Chandigarh.
On this occasion, Jasbir Kaur, President, Women and Child Welfare Foundation, stated that the medical camp provided free consultations and health check-ups by various specialist doctors. Patients were consulted by specialists in general medicine, orthopedics, cardiology, physiotherapy, breast and endocrine systems.
Kamaljeet Singh, General Secretary, Women and Child Welfare Foundation, stated that ECG, blood pressure, sugar, and weight check-ups were conducted in collaboration with Fortis Hospital. Dr. Grewal Eye Hospital conducted eye examinations, while the team from Dental Artistry, Chandigarh, provided dental check-ups. Mammography was arranged by Tera Hi Tera Mission Hospital, and Ayurvedic and herbal health consultations were provided by No Diet System Ayurvedic Herbal.
The blood donation camp was organized in collaboration with the Government Cancer Hospital, Chandigarh, while the Punjab Red Cross Society also provided significant support to this health and blood donation campaign. The event was inaugurated by Harpreet Kaur Babla, former Mayor and Councillor of Chandigarh. According to the organizers, a large number of people from Sectors 19, 27, and 28, as well as surrounding areas, visited the camp, availed health services, and enthusiastically participated in the charitable act of blood donation.
Furthermore, a special ceremony was also organized by the Women and Child Care Welfare Foundation (Regd.) at the Bhawan, where women who have made outstanding contributions in various fields were honored. During the event, women shared their experiences and presented cultural performances. The organizers praised the role of women in society and emphasized the importance of women's empowerment and respect.
A Kirtan gathering was also organized as part of the programme, in which the Ragi Jatha of Ramgarhia Sabha Gurdwara Sector-27 presented Gurbani Kirtan. Furthermore, Bibi Harjinder Kaur Simran (Mohali Wale) delighted the congregation with Simran Sadhana and Kirtan Ras, while Dr. Harjeet Singh Ji Sabarwal (Tera Hi Tera Mission) also performed Kirtan Seva. At the conclusion of the programme, Guru Ka Langar was also served.
