Free medical & heart check up camp

Ludhiana, May 18, 2014: A free Medical & Heart Check up camp was organised by Dayanand Medical College & Hospital unit – Hero DMC Heart Institute in association with Rotary Club -at Nav Durga Mandir, Sarabha Nagar Ludhiana. Dr.G.S Wander Chief cardiologist at HDHI, Dr.Rohit Tandon M.D Medicine & Dr.Rakendra examined around 250 patients at the camp. Investigations like ECG, Blood Sugar tests, Blood pressure check up done free of cost.
The camp was inaugurated by Dr.G.S Wander, K.K. Dhir incoming governor of Rotary District for year 2015 -16 & Assistant governor Dr.Sanjiv Uppal. Speaking on the occasion Dr.Wander said- These kinds of camps should be conducted regularly for providing Medical Relief and creating awareness about Common cardiac Problems so that more and more people can be saved from this dreaded disease. It shall be our continuous endeavour to organise such camps frequently so that people can benefit from it.” Stressing on the importance of health he Said, “One must take care of his/her health, as health is more than anything in life”.
The camp addressed special issues like Hypertension, Diabetes, how it can be diagnosed at early stages, Diet, importance of timely Health check up of patients etc. Camp was attended by all Club members including club Secretary H.S Kharbanda, Satish Malhotra (Chief Patron), Chairman K.K Seth, President Subash Duggal, Project Chairman Vikram Kanwar & other members of Club. Dr.G.S Wander praised the efforts made by Rotary Club Ludhiana for the welfare of common people.
