Free Health Screening, Counselling and Health Awareness Camp at Boy’s Hostel No. 3, Panjab University, Chandigarh
Panjab University, Chandigarh today hosted a comprehensive free health tests, counselling and health awareness camp at Boy’s Hostel No. 3, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The camp was organised by Boys Hostel No. 3 in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Boy’s Hostel No. 1 & 2, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh September 2, 2025: Panjab University, Chandigarh today hosted a comprehensive free health tests, counselling and health awareness camp at Boy’s Hostel No. 3, Panjab University, Chandigarh. The camp was organised by Boys Hostel No. 3 in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine and School of Public Health, PGIMER, Chandigarh and Boy’s Hostel No. 1 & 2, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
The camp was inaugurated by PU Dean Student Welfare, Prof. Amit Chauhan. The event drew significant participation from the residents of BH-1, 2 & 3. The health camp offered various medical services and health screening facilities for metabolic syndrome to residents.
Medical professionals led by Dr. Vineeth Rajagopal, Associate Professor, DCM & SPH; Dr. Bushra Thasneem, SR; Mr. Amit, JLT; and MPH-II students (Annkita Thakur, Dr. Pritika, Dr. Sefali Mishra, Dr. Hriti, Dr. Jasmeet, Dr. Uma) from PGIMER, Chandigarh and Mr. Jaskirat Singh and Dr. Om Prakash, volunteers from Panjab University, Chandigarh were present to provide consultations and health assessments to the residents.
The event witnessed the participation of Wardens, Dr. Tilak Raj and Dr. Harbhinder Singh and other officials. Dr. Sucha Singh, Warden, BH-3 expressed satisfaction with the residents response to the health screening camp and indicated that similar camps may be planned in the hostel in the coming time.
