Free Computer Workshop commences at KMV -An Opportunity for Ladies and Senior Citizens to become Internet friendly

Jalandhar, December 4, 2017: P.G.Department of Computer Science and Applications of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya - the Heritage and Autonomous Institution is has organized a two-week free of cost workshop for Ladies and Senior Citizens on the topic "Know Your Friends - Internet and Mobile" from December 4-16. The inaugural session witnessed the presence of around 35 senior citizens and ladies who seemed to be keen to hone their computer skills. The workshop was inaugurated by Ms.Neerja Chander Mohan, member, K.M.V.Managing committee and Principal Prof.Atima Sharma Dwivedi.
Principal, averred that in the current scenario every individual must be well versed with technology but the Senior Citizens are not fully versed with the latest gadgets and technology. Thus the main aim of the workshop is to make the senior citizens and women adapt with the daily internet usage. As internet and mobiles act as a backbone of our major day to day works, various modules will be taught in this regard. This workshop's highlight is that it is completely free of cost, practical based and is aimed only at providing help to bridge the gap between technology and citizens. This free of cost workshop includes various innovative and interesting modulus like Computer Basics, Internet and Email, Phone Management Youtubing and Whatapp Payment Mode and Online Transactions to name a few. Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi appreciated Mrs. Suman Khurana, Head P.G. Dept of Computer Science & Applications for designing.
