Free Camp for Prostate & Kidney Cancer World Cancer Day

Ludhiana, February 4, 2019: Every year 4th Feb is celebrated as World Cancer Day by the Medical Fraternity. On this day Aykai Hospital near Samrala Chownk, Ludhiana organized free camp for cancer patients to mark it as World Cancer Day. A large number of patients with various ailments were examined by a team of super specialist doctors. Special discount on investigations were also given to the patients. Dr Baldev Singh Aulakh, Urologist & Transplant surgeon addressed the patients and made them aware that one in eight men suffer from prostate cancer and if detected early, it can be cured otherwise it is life threatening. He also said that obese and hypertensive patients are more prone to suffer from kidney cancer & if detected early, kidney can be saved and cancer can be cured. Various advancements in techniques have made surgeries amenable with less post operative pain, shorter hospital stay and thereby decreased patient cost. Dr Aulakh, Dr Vivek Sharma and Dr. Anchal Kotwal from of urology and kidney transplant department, Dr J.S.Sandhu, Consultant Nephrology, Gastro Surgeon Dr Sushil Jindal, Dr Mandeep Singh, Consultant Medicine, Dr Simran Aujla , Consultant Skin & Hair Transplant had one to one discussion with the patients and resolved their queries related to cancer and kidney transplant .
