Ludhiana, July 14, 2026: In a significant initiative to support the health and well-being of young children during the summer season, four social organizations have come together to donate a total of 707 water coolers to Anganwadi centres, ensuring access to safe and cool drinking water for children across the district.
The initiative is led by Do Good Foundation, which has contributed 557 water coolers, while CityNeeds, Nar Sewa Foundation, and Bharat Vikas Parishad Vivekananda Sewa Trust have each donated 50 water coolers, reflecting a shared commitment to child welfare and community development.
A particularly inspiring aspect of this initiative is the active participation of children associated with Do Good Foundation. Through their fundraising efforts and community engagement, these young changemakers played an important role in mobilizing resources for the procurement of the water coolers, demonstrating that compassion and social responsibility can begin at a young age.
In recognition of these remarkable efforts, an official Letter of Appreciation from the hon'ble Deputy Commissioner was presented of the young contributors. Those being recognized include Aditya Pahwa, Rajvir Nanda, Ranveer Verma, Mahira Pruthi, Yashvi Khurana, Anahita Aggarwal, Shivom Sachdeva, Aarav Dadu, Ruhaan Lakra, Nyra Gupta, Aanya Garg, Jaiveer Singh, and Aaliya Gupta.
The installation of these water coolers will ensure that thousands of children attending Anganwadi centres have access to clean and cool drinking water, helping them stay hydrated and healthy during the intense summer heat.
This initiative is a shining example of how collective community efforts and youth participation can create a lasting impact. By working together for a meaningful cause, these contributions will help provide a healthier, safer, and more comfortable environment for children attending Anganwadi centres.
