Jalandhar, April 30, 2026: Reinforcing its commitment to delivering advanced critical care services, Fortis Hospital Jalandhar has expanded its Critical Care Unit with the addition of 19 new ICU beds, increasing its total intensive care capacity from 84 to 103 beds, making it one of the largest critical care facilities in the region.
Fortis Jalandhar’s Department of Critical Care is backed by a team of over 12 highly experienced critical care specialists and anaesthetists, offering expertise across multiple specialities. The hospital currently operates 10 dedicated ICUs, including super-speciality units for cardiology, nephrology, neurology, transplant care, surgical care, joint replacement, and cardiothoracic and vascular surgery (CTVS), in addition to general and medical ICUs. The hospital ensures 24x7 in-house intensive care support through ACLS and BLS-trained doctors, nursing staff, and technicians, enabling uninterrupted expert care for critically-ill patients. The critical care ecosystem is further strengthened by dedicated physiotherapists, dietitians, and psychologists, ensuring a holistic recovery pathway for patients.
