Former MP Shadi Lal Batra Elected Unopposed as President of SJK Education Society, Kalanaur
A General Body meeting of the Sat Jinda Kalyana Education Society, Kalanaur, was held at the Sat Jinda Kalyana Ashram, Kalanaur, under the chairmanship of Mahant Khushal Das to conduct the triennial election process for the Society's executive committee.
Kalanaur, August 2, 2026: A General Body meeting of the Sat Jinda Kalyana Education Society, Kalanaur, was held at the Sat Jinda Kalyana Ashram, Kalanaur, under the chairmanship of Mahant Khushal Das to conduct the triennial election process for the Society's executive committee.
All life members of the Society, Dr. Naresh Kumar Dua (Principal, SJK College), Dr. Kanchan (Principal, SJK College of Education), and members of the teaching and non-teaching staff attended the meeting. Returning Officer Pritam Bhayana said that Prof. Sajjan (Election Observer appointed by MDU) and Dr. Param Bhushan (Observer appointed by the Department of Higher Education, Haryana) were also present during the election process. Following the election process, all office bearers were elected unopposed.
Former Rajya Sabha MP Shadi Lal Batra was elected President, Dr. Rashmi Bajaj as Vice-President, Mahendra Kumar Khurana as General Secretary, and Hemant Batra as Treasurer. Eleven members of the governing body were also elected unanimously. Dr. Vikas Kumar and Dr. Deepa Juneja were elected as representatives of the teaching staff, while Sanjay Kumar was elected as the representative of the non-teaching staff.
Additionally, the governing body for SJK College of Education, Kalanaur, was also constituted unanimously. Dr. Aparna Batra was elected Chairperson, Naresh Kumar as Vice-Chairman, Gaurav as Secretary, and Hemant Batra as Treasurer.
While extending heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected office bearers and executive committee members, Mahant Khushal Das Maharaj expressed confidence that they would discharge their duties with utmost integrity, transparency, and dedication, and work continuously for the all-round development of the institution and the colleges.
Society President Shadi Lal Batra remarked that having the opportunity to serve the college governing body for nearly 55 years was a matter of pride and good fortune for him. Reiterating his commitment to the institution, he expressed confidence that through the collective efforts of the new governing body, S.J.K. College and S.J.K. College of Education would achieve new milestones in the fields of education, sports, and cultural activities.
