Ferozepur, March 26, 2014: The police have nabbed five alleged robbers from the cantonment area today, who were planning to commit robbery at an ATM.
The arrested accused have identified as Raghuvir Singh of village Mojewala, District Moga, Gurcharan Singh of village Mallanwala Road, Zira, Joginder Pal of village Dippawali, District Fazilka, Romeo of Ferozepur Cantt and Sandeep Kumar alias Sunnu of Zira. They were allegedly planning to rob an ATM. They had gas cutting machine and other tools with them in their Indica Car.
Police said during the routine stroll, the police found their activities suspicious. When the police raided, two of them named Romeo and Joginder managed to flee. The police took other three under their custody along with their tools and car. The police have registered a case under section 399, 402 IPC and have started investigation.
