First science centre of state inaugurated by Anurag Thakur

Dharamsala, May 14, 2022: Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting and Youth Affairs and Sports Anurag Singh Thakur inaugurated a science centre at Palampur near here today.
This science centre at Palampur has been developed under the Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPoCS) by National Council of Science Museums (NCSM), an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India.
The National Council of Science Museums is engaged in the establishment of Regional Science Centres/Science Cities throughout the country.
The Science Centre at Palampur is Himachal's first science centre and it aims to popularize science and technology for the benefits of students and for the common man.
