The two gall bladder removal surgeries (cholecystectomy) were successfully completed using the Da Vinci Xi surgical robot by Dr. Harsh Garg, senior consultant general surgery and Dr. Rohit Bansal consultant general surgery. The patients from Zirakpur and Sirmour in Himachal, recovered well with minimal postoperative discomfort.
Talking about the robot-assisted surgery benefits, Dr. Harsh Garg said that it offered multiple benefits like minimal cuts and smaller scars, less pain and quicker recovery, reduced risk of complications and higher precision with 3D-HD vision.
Dr. Rohit Bansal said that robotic surgery enhances the surgeon’s abilities and reduces the risk of complications, which is a great benefit for patients.
