Jalandhar, April 5, 2014: The first New Zealand Education fair in Jalandhar, organised by New Zealand Specialist Agents of Punjab, opened to a huge crowd today at Hotel President , Police Lines Jalandhar.

More than 500 students with their guardians visited the event today. Representatives from over 25 leading New Zealand institutes from across diverse disciplines such as engineering, management, hospitality, multimedia, biotechnology, health sciences and information technology participated at the fair.  The Education fair held provided a unique opportunity to the visitors to discover how New Zealand offers the perfect balance of world-class education, lifestyle and safety with tourism.

Addressing the inaugural session,  Munish Sekhri, Licensed Immigration Advisor and Spokesperson for the NZSA Punjab said that  “New Zealand has a multicultural society that welcomes students from different countries and offers a world-class education system including world’s leading applied technical vocational education and training and skills development, New Zealand’s education system is highly regarded globally and the new courses are designed to better meet the needs of all students as well as institutions, while still providing the same quality education.

10 New Zealand Specialist Agents (NZSA) present at the fair also guided students, parents, teachers, student counselors and working adults seeking educational opportunities and access to the latest information on New Zealand’s education offerings. The NZSA are part of an exclusive group of agents that meet strict quality and recruitment criteria, which is administered by Education New Zealand, in consultation with Immigration New Zealand,” informed Munish Sekhri – Spokesperson of the NZSA group & organizer of the event here in Jalandhar. “We are happy about the number of visitors said Munish Sekhri”.

Students visiting the fair said that with such informative Education fairs being organized, students are at lesser risk to face hardships in foreign lands in the lack of proper information on the destination, as NZSA & Institutes have imparted all necessary information before sending them abroad.

The event aimed at providing first-hand information on various prospects of education in New Zealand. The students and parents visiting the exhibition got free counselling on careers, courses, fees and the visa procedure and a chance to meet with the visa officers from Immigration New Zealand and the representatives of Education New Zealand (Departments of Govt. of New Zealand).
