Ludhiana, April 20, 2022: Mock drill and Fire Safety Training were conducted at MBD Neopolis Mall to spread awareness about fire safety on Wednesday. The team from the fire brigade department, retailers, and staff from MBD Neopolis Mall Ludhiana and Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana participated in the mock drill. The rescue mock drill was conducted to tackle a possible incident of fire. The drill also included the evacuation of people and the know-how of use of fire safety equipment and the correct method of first aid was also explained. The drill was aimed at ensuring operational preparedness of the staff. The officials from the fire safety department and fire safety officials of the mall and hotel also briefed the participants about the right methods and techniques for fire safety. To raise awareness among residents regarding fire safety, the Ludhiana fire brigade commenced the mock drill sessions under ‘National Fire Service Week’ that concluded on Wednesday.
Associate Vice President of MBD Neopolis Mall, Prabjot Khera and General Manager of Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana, Abhay Kumar said that the government departments completely cooperated in the mock drill operation including firefighters. They also appreciated the training imparted to the staff in collaboration with the fire department officials in the mock drill. They said that the fire safety team at the mall and hotel regularly conduct these mock drills and training session for the staff to check the preparedness for fire safety.
The mock drill and the training session were organized under the supervision of Sub-fire officer (SFO) Navrang Singh, firemen Dinesh Kumar, Raman Kumar, Jugraj Singh, and the driver of the fire brigade vehicle Sanjay Kumar along with the Fire Safety Officer Rinku Ram and his team from MBD Neopolis mall and Radisson Blu Hotel MBD Ludhiana. Navrang Singh said the fire brigade team encouraged the building owners to make proper fire safety arrangements to keep themselves and their businesses safe.
