Finance Minister Cheema and MP Arora Visit Pakistani Drone Attack Victims at DMCH

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora visited Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana on Saturday to inquire about the condition of two victims injured in a drone attack by Pakistan in Khai Pheme Ki village, Ferozepur, on Friday night.

Ludhiana, May 10, 2025: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora visited Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), Ludhiana on Saturday to inquire about the condition of two victims injured in a drone attack by Pakistan in Khai Pheme Ki village, Ferozepur, on Friday night.

MP Arora, who also serves as Vice President of the DMCH Managing Society, informed that the injured—Lakhwinder Singh and his wife Sukhwinder Kaur—have been admitted to DMCH, while their son is receiving treatment at a hospital in Ferozepur. Lakhwinder has suffered 70% burn injuries, and Sukhwinder has sustained 100% burns. Both are in critical condition. Their son, who has sustained 40% burns, is reportedly stable but under observation.

MP Arora also met with the relatives of the victims and made necessary arrangements for their accommodation in Ludhiana. He said both patients have been shifted to the Burn Ward of DMCH and expressed hope for their speedy recovery. He added that the Punjab government is taking all possible steps to support the victims and their families during this tragic time.

Minister Cheema assured that the Punjab government is fully committed to supporting the victims and their families during this challenging time. He announced that the state government would cover all medical expenses, ensuring free treatment for the injured at DMCH. “The Punjab government stands firmly with the victims, and we will ensure they receive the best possible care,” Cheema stated.
