Last homage being paid to Prof. Gurbir Singh Sarna, a versatile personality at the Bhog Ceremony held in Gujarkhan Campus at Ludhiana on Wednesday.
Ludhiana, October 30, 2013: A sea of humanity turned up to pay their last homage to Prof. Gurbir Singh Sarna, a versatile personality at the Bhog Ceremony held in Gujarkhan Campus today.
Prof. Gurbir Singh Sarna, General Secretary of Guru Nanak Education Trust (Gujarkhan), Gujarkhan Campus and former Professor of Economics, GGN Khalsa College, Civil Lines left for his heavenly abode on October 25 at the age of 70.
Prof. Sarna was the son of Late Sant Singh Gujarkhani, a renowned social worker and President of SAD, Ludhiana unit. He was also the cousin of Paramjit Singh Sarna, former President, DSGPC and President of Guru Nanak Education Trust (Gujarkhan), Gujarkhan Campus.
On this occasion, Bhai Sahib Bhai Davinder Singh, Hazoori Ragi, Sri Harmandir Sahib, Amritsar enthralled the audience with the divine recitation of Shabad Kirtan followed by Ardas.
Bhog and Antim Ardas ceremony was attended by a large number of people belonging to all walks of life. Paramjit Singh Sarna, President and Harvinder Singh Sarna, Vice President, Guru Nanak Education Trust (Gujarkhan), Gujarkhan Campus paid tribute to Professor Gurbir Singh Sarna.
The prayer meeting was also attended among others by Amarjit Singh Dua, Director General, Educational Institutions, DSGPC, Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, Mayor, Ludhiana, Hira Singh Gabria, Chairman, District Planning Board. www.cityairnews.com
