Filmfare Awards Marathi 2026, Nominations Out Now: Dashavatar leads with 22 nominations, followed by Ata Thambaycha Naay! and Gondhal with 19 each, announced by Actor Amruta Khanvilkar

Filmfare unveiled the much-awaited nominations for the 11th edition of the Filmfare Awards Marathi at a press conference held at Mumbai. Celebrating excellence across acting, direction, music, writing and technical craftsmanship, the awards honour the finest achievements in Marathi cinema, recognising films released between 1st January and 31st December 2025. The press conference was attended by Mr Jitesh Pillaai, Editor-in-Chief, Filmfare, along with acclaimed actor Amruta Khanvilkar.
It was announced that the 11th edition of the Filmfare Awards Marathi will be held on 6th August 2026, at Sahara Star, Mumbai with Siddharth Chandekar and Amey Wagh set to host the grand evening. The awards ceremony will premiere soon on Sony Marathi. Bringing together the biggest names from the Marathi film industry, the awards promise to be an unforgettable celebration of cinematic excellence, honouring the finest talent and storytelling of the year.

Across the Popular and Technical categories, this year's nominations celebrate the very best of Marathi cinema, with Dashavatar leading the pack with 22 nominations, followed by Ata Thambaycha Naay! and Gondhal with 19 nominations each, while April May 99 secured 17 nominations. The Best Film category features April May 99, Ata Thambaycha Naay!, Dashavatar, Fussclass Dabhade, Jarann and Sthal- A Match, reflecting the diverse storytelling that defined Marathi cinema this year.
Meanwhile, the Best Actor in a Leading Role (Male) category includes Amey Wagh (Fussclass Dabhade), Bharat Jadhav (Ata Thambaycha Naay!), Dilip Prabhavalkar (Dashavatar), Lalit Prabhakar (Aarpar), Mahesh Manjrekar (Devmanus), and Siddharth Chandekar (Fussclass Dabhade). The Best Actor in a Leading Role (Female) nominees are Amruta Subhash (Jarann), Hruta Durgule (Aarpar), Renuka Shahane (Devmanus), Sai Tamhankar (Gulkand), and Sajiri Joshi (April May 99), recognising some of Marathi cinema's most celebrated performers.
The Best Director category features Hemant Dhome (Fussclass Dabhade), Jayant Digambar Somalkar (Sthal – A Match), Rohan Mapuskar (April May 99), Rushikesh K. Gupte (Jarann), Shivraj Waichal (Ata Thambaycha Naay!), and Subodh Khanolkar (Dashavatar), recognising some of Marathi cinema's finest filmmakers and performers whose work has shaped an exceptional year for the industry. The Best Film (Critics') nominees include Devmanus, Gondhal, Sabar Bonda, Sthal- A Match, Teen Paayancha Ghoda and Uttar, while the race for Best Debut Director brings together Gaurav Patki (Aarpar), Jayant Digambar Somalkar (Sthal- A Match), Rohan Mapuskar (April May 99), Rohan Parashuram Kanawade (Sabar Bonda), Santosh Davakhar (Gondhal), Shivraj Waichal (Ata Thambaycha Naay!) and Subodh Khanolkar (Dashavatar).
