FICO strongly opposed increase in Industrial Power Tariff by Rs.0.50 per Unit
Gurmeet Singh Kular President Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) and Rajeev Jain General Secretary FICO strongly opposed the increase in Industrial Power Tariff by Rs.0.50 per Unit by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited . They said the circular also has a provision of 3% annual increase in the tariff to the industrial units.

Ludhiana, March 29, 2023: Gurmeet Singh Kular President Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) and Rajeev Jain General Secretary FICO strongly opposed the increase in Industrial Power Tariff by Rs.0.50 per Unit by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited . They said the circular also has a provision of 3% annual increase in the tariff to the industrial units.
They said that the existing industry of Punjab is struggling for survival due to the recent market recession and the losses incurred due to the lockdowns imposed to curb Covid-19, followed by the exponential increases in raw material prices.
They added that this is the time that the government should handhold the industry, reverse the increase in power tariff imposed with immediate effect, and felicitate the industry.
