FICO pledges to develop micro forest in Focal Point 
On the World Environment Day, FICO starts the Plantation Drive in Ludhiana.

Ludhiana: Today, on the World Environment Day, Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) started the Plantation Drive from Vishwakarma Park, Jaimal Road, Janta Nagar, Ludhiana. And planted more than 100 trees in different areas of the city. 

Mr. K. K. Seth Chairman FICO & M.D. Neelam Cycles adopted a land of 150 feet by 300 feet in Focal Point, Ludhiana, and pledged to develop a micro forest of 2000 plants. He said fresh air is the best gift that one could give to mother earth on World environment day, he said.

Mr. Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO said that on the World Environment Day we need to reconsider our priorities as the foods we eat, the air we breathe, the water we drink and the climate that makes our planet habitable all come from nature. Yet, these are exceptional times in which nature is sending us a message to care for ourselves we must care for nature. It’s time to build back better for People and Planet. This World Environment Day, it’s Time for Nature. Let us give our future generations A Healthier and Happier Environment.

Mr. Manjinder Singh Sachdeva Senior Vice President FICO said that it is the need of the hour that we plant more trees in focal points to curb the pollution at its source, in order to accomplish the same FICO will plant 10000 trees in coming year in Focal Points of Ludhiana.
