Ludhiana, July 11, 2014: Gurmeet Singh Kular President, Manjinder Singh Sachdeva , General Secretary , Rajeev Jain Secretary & Jagatveer Singh Joint Secretary of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisations  (FICO), Ludhiana opposed the decision of PSPCL to withdraw peak load exemptions from large consumers & also extended the peak hours from 3 hours to 12 hours.
They added first of all it is very difficult to adjust the labour in 12 hours & also to run the industry in only 12 hours. “The industry is already using costlier power in peak hours to run the factory because in peak hours we have to pay fixed Rs 2.70 per KW per hour other than consumption”, he said, adding PSPCL should rethink on it & withdraw immediately so that industry can get relief.
