FICO Marks International MSME Day with Industrial Visit to Holland Mechanics, Netherlands

Ludhiana, July 1, 2026: To commemorate International MSME Day 2026, the Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) organized a special industrial visit to Holland Mechanics B.V., Netherlands, as part of its Europe delegation led by Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO, and Rajesh Seth, Leader of the Delegation; with the theme "Build Better Bikes."
Addressing the delegation, Gurmeet Singh Kular said that this year's International MSME Day theme, "Empowering MSMEs through Innovation and Sustainable Industrial Development," reflects the need for Indian MSMEs to embrace advanced technology, innovation and sustainable manufacturing practices to remain globally competitive.
The delegation visited the state-of-the-art manufacturing facility of Holland Mechanics B.V., a world leader in bicycle wheel-building machinery and bicycle assembly solutions. Members observed modern automated production systems, precision engineering, and innovative manufacturing processes that have set global benchmarks in the bicycle industry.
Gurmeet Singh Kular said that such international industrial visits provide valuable learning opportunities for entrepreneurs and will encourage the adoption of advanced technologies, improved quality standards and greater productivity in India's bicycle manufacturing sector. He added that FICO will continue to facilitate global exposure and technology-driven initiatives for the benefit of MSMEs.
