FICO Demanded Immediate Resolution of Industrial Issues from DC Ludhiana
A delegation of the Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO), led by Gurmeet Singh Kular, President FICO, along with Rajeev Jain, Senior Vice President FICO, and Baldev Singh Amar, Vice President FICO, met Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, during the Single Window Meeting.
Ludhiana, September 15, 2026: A delegation of the Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO), led by Gurmeet Singh Kular, President FICO, along with Rajeev Jain, Senior Vice President FICO, and Baldev Singh Amar, Vice President FICO, met Himanshu Jain, Deputy Commissioner, Ludhiana, during the Single Window Meeting.
FICO raised several urgent issues being faced by the industrial sector in Ludhiana and demanded their immediate resolution of unscheduled Power Cuts affecting industrial production; night Blackout and restrictions on industrial power supply, fast Processing of GST Refunds to improve the working capital position of industry; Sewer Line on Service Lanes along the National Highway in Ludhiana; resolution of Mixed Land Use (MLU) Area issues and continuation of permissions for existing industries; Malerkotla Road Industries facing approval and regulatory issues; improvement in Law and Order Situation in the city, which has become a serious concern for the industrial and business community; construction of a Ramp between Giaspura and Dhandari for better connectivity and traffic movement; and installation of Static Compactor and Garbage Dump in Focal Point to ensure a clean and hygienic industrial environment.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Himanshu Jain, assured the FICO delegation that an internal meeting with the concerned departments will be held on Thursday to discuss these issues. He further assured that within the next 15 days, suitable resolutions will be provided for the problems being faced by the industry.
FICO appreciated the assurance of the Deputy Commissioner and expressed hope that the concerned departments will take prompt and effective action on these long-pending issues in the interest of Ludhiana’s industrial sector.
