FICO delegation visited Maruti Suzuki India Limited & Sandhar Technologies

Ludhiana, December 12, 2017: Today Delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization popularly known as FICO visited Maruti Suzuki Limited for Manufacturing Excellence Mission and the delegates could understand the Manufacturing of 15 models on the same line with over 150 variants. Delegation have also visited Sandhar Technologies Limited.
Maruti Suzuki India Limited Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL), a subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation. Japan, is India's largest passenger car maker. India's first Company to manufacture and sell more than a million cars in India in a year. With Headquartered in New Delhi, it has two manufacturing facilities in Haryana - Gurgaon and Manesar. Both the facilities have a combined capability to produce over 1.5 million vehicles annually. The Company employs over 13,000 people (as on 31st Mar 2016). Its sales and service network is the largest among car manufacturers in India with 1,916 sales outlets (across 1,556 towns and cities) and 3225 service centers (covering 1,534 towns and cities). Besides serving the Indian market, Maruti Suzuki also exports cars to several countries in Europe, Asia, Latin America, Africa and Oceania. During the financial year 2015-16 Maruti Suzuki's net sales was Rs 563,504 million and the Profit after Tax was Rs 45,714 million.
Delegates have also visited Sandhar Technologies Limited. Since its incorporation in 1987 as a Sheet Metal product supplier to Hero Honda, Sandhar Technologies Limited have steadily diversified into Automotive Mirrors, Handles, Zinc & aluminum PDC, Plastic Injection moulding, Dies & Moulds, Wheel Rims, Handle Bars, Clutches, Operator Cabins and Automotive Electronics. Delegates could learn the diversified manufacturing from sheet metal to mirrors, to plastic moulds and so on.
