FICO Celebrated World Bicycle Day
The Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organizations (FICO) celebrated the World Bicycle Day at Bombay Cycle Store, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana.
Ludhiana, June 3, 2026: The Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organizations (FICO) celebrated the World Bicycle Day at Bombay Cycle Store, Pakhowal Road, Ludhiana. FICO celebrated the Bicycle Day and organized a 35 KM Cycle Rally with great enthusiasm to promote bicycling. FICO Celebrated the World Bicycle Day in collaboration with Ludhiana District Cycling Association. More than 70 Riders participated in the Cycle Rally.
Jasman Preet Singh Owner Bombay Cycle Store, Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO, Mandeep Chaudhry Media Advisor FICO and Chief Editor Bicycle Mirror cut the cake and celebrated the World Bicycle Day with cycling enthusiasts. Mr. Jasman Preet Singh shared his good wishes on the World Bicycle Day, and said that next year on same day a 100 KM ride will be organized to celebrate the World Bicycle Day and spread the message of cycling to the people of Punjab.
Gurmeet Singh Kular President FICO said that the first bicycle day was celebrated on June 3, 2018. It was honored by the United Nations and then declared to the rest of the world. On World Bicycle Day, the United Nations wants people to be aware of eco-friendly transport systems that do not pollute the environment. The United Nations also wants every child to ride a bicycle and use it for shared times and as a tool for daily exercises. Bicycling is the best way to take care of your health and keep yourself active. The use of bicycles all over the world can cause a green revolution, which will only make our planet a better place to live. Today, the 8th World Bicycle Day is being celebrated. We celebrate the bicycle, which is versatile, unique, and has longevity that has been helping as a means of transport for two centuries.
K.K. Seth Chairman FICO said that the resolution for World Bicycle Day recognizes the bicycle that it is a simple, affordable, reliable, clean, and environmentally fit sustainable means of transport. The bicycle as a symbol of human progress and advancement promotes tolerance, mutual understanding, and respect and facilitates social inclusion and a culture of peace. The bicycle further is a symbol of sustainable transport and conveys a positive message to foster sustainable consumption and production, and has a positive impact on climate. Today the manufacturers of bicycle need to look beyond the roadster model and manufacture cycles as per the requirements of the global market.

Cycling strengthens your heart muscles, lowers resting pulse, and reduces blood fat levels. Moreover, cycling cuts down greenhouse gas emissions, reduces air pollutants with zero-emission, reduces noise pollution, and reduces traffic congestion.
