Festival Literário 2026: Where Ink Meets Inspiration
Under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted the Festival Literário 2026 on 21st and 22nd August - The Inter-DPS National English Literary Festival. The prestigious national literary festival brought together 16 teams comprising of over 160 students representing various DPS schools from all over the country, celebrating creativity, imagination, language and the enduring power of literature.
Chandigarh, August 22, 2026: Under the aegis of the Delhi Public School Society, Delhi Public School, Chandigarh hosted the Festival Literário 2026 on 21st and 22nd August - The Inter-DPS National English Literary Festival. The prestigious national literary festival brought together 16 teams comprising of over 160 students representing various DPS schools from all over the country, celebrating creativity, imagination, language and the enduring power of literature.
The festival, conceptualised to rekindle a love for reading and harness the creative potential of young minds, featured a vibrant blend of online and on-site events. Following the online preliminary rounds of 107 schools, 16 qualifying teams assembled at DPS Chandigarh for the inaugural evening on 21st August, 2026. The event commenced with a warm welcome to the participating teams, teachers and mentors. The onsite events on 22nd August 2026 displayed the ingenuity and fertile imagination of the participants.
Vivek Atray, former IAS graced the Valedictory Ceremony as the Chief Guest. He is an acclaimed author, columnist, motivational speaker and mentor whose words have inspired thousands of young minds. In his inspiring address, he lauded the level of innovation among the participants and emphasized the importance of reading and retaining the human touch in the world of AI. The esteemed Guests of Honour were Saguna Jain and Hardeep Singh Chandpuri, two distinguished names in the literary landscape of the tricity.
The Director, Reema Dewan expressed gratitude to The Delhi Public School Society, the participating schools, teachers and organizing committees whose collective efforts ensured the seamless execution of yet another landmark event. She urged the students to cultivate and nurture love for reading especially literature.
Before the final curtain was drawn, a special Book of Memoirs was signed by the Director, the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour.
DPS R.K Puram was declared the overall winner.
The festival revealed a treasure of creativity, originality and confidence of the teams making it a truly memorable celebration.
