Ludhiana, November 22, 2015: Mr Keith Ma, Assistant Manager, Reed Exhibition, Shanghai, China visited Offset Printers’ Association (OPA) on to personally handover the congratulatory message of Mr.Thomas Huang, Vice President, Reed Exhibitions (China) Ltd.Shanghai to Mr.Kamal Chopra on being elected as the Vice President (North) of the All India Federation of Master Printers (AIFMP). With headquarter at London (U.K.) Reed Exhibition Ltd., is the world’s leading event organizers with offices in Brazil, Australia, China, Dubai, Germany, Russia, Austria, Italy, Japan, South Africa, Morocco, Mexico, USA besides India.
Mr. Keith said, that since Mr. Kamal Chopra is known as the ‘man of networking’ and Reed feels inedited because of his services towards printing and packaging industry thought the world,  It was the thought of Mike Rusbridge, Chairman of Reed Exhibitions, Worldwide that the congratulatory message must be presented face to face. On his wish Mr. Thomas Huang appointed me to personally deliver the wishes of Reed Worldwide to Mr. Chopra.
Welcoming him, Mr. Parveen Aggarwal said, I met Mr. Keith at Shanghai, he is most dedicated and committed person. We are happy that he is here today for a special mission; we would like to welcome him and wish him pleasant stay in India. Reed Exhibition is one of the largest international organizations working for the trade shows and conducting conferences. Offices of Reed are located world over and they are also organizers of the top printing and packaging exhibitions world over. 
Discussing the areas of scope for the Ludhiana printers, Mr. Keith said the rigid box market is picking up very fast and more and more Indian printers are showing interest in this field. I know some companies in South India manufacturing ‘Shoe-Boxes’ and they have handsome export orders also. Ludhiana is basically a packaging town and it is therefore, I do feel, that there is excellent scope for rigid box in this area. On the query of some members, Keith told that there is great scope for collaboration between Chinese rigid box manufacturers and this market is open for Ludhiana printers. He said that some Chinese manufacturers are also looking at giving franchise to Indian printers for the supply of quality rigid boxes. On the system of management and availability of finance, Mr. Keith said that the interest rate of the bankers in China is about 6 per cent per annum. He said in some cases even the money can be made available by the bankers without any interest. He said printing is changing and to survive in this scenario it is necessary to do something different with novel and different ideas. 
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Kamal Chopra said that In Finland, many babies sleep in cardboard boxes. And they enjoy it — at least that is what their parents say. Using a box that is similar to Finnish baby boxes, the project hopes to save up to 58,000 infant lives in the coming five years. We can think something different, now days the toilet in the planes is manufactured with honeycomb boards, Keith said. GS informed the house that even our president started manufacturing pallets from the corrugated sheet. 
On the behalf of printers of Ludhiana in general and members of OPA in particular Mr. Keith Ma was felicitated. Siropa was presented to him by Mr. Hans Raj Chopra and Mr. Amarjot Arora; Ceremonial Garland by Mr. Manish Jain and Mr. Parvesh Jagga. Memento was presented jointly by Mr. Anoop Garg and Mr. Varinder Jindal, whereas gift on the behalf of OPA was presented jointly by Mr. Parveen Aggarwal and Mr. Kamal Chopra.
In his speech Mr. Keith said when reached railway station I found that it is better than New Delhi station. I came to Ludhiana for the first time but I became quite familiar even at Ludhiana railway station, so many people approached me telling me that they have business with China. I feel Ludhiana has a good relation with Chinese manufacturers. I am here to congratulate Mr. Kamal Chopra, face to face as advised by our president, on being elected as the Vice President of the All India Federation of Master Printers. I wish Kamal continued strength and wisdom in performing the vital work of connecting the world’s printing elites and furthering the development of India’s printing Industry. Your association has long been a committed partner of Reed Exhibitions. I strongly hope that our close bilateral ties will help us to continue to promote the advancement of the printing and packaging industries in China and India. Mr. Keith presented gift to Mr. Parveen Aggarwal on the behalf of Reed Exhibition, China, before felicitating Mr. Kamal Chopra with the congratulatory message of Mr. Thomas Huang.
Thanking for his wishes and gratitude, Mr. Kamal Chopra said I know Keith for the last two years; I found him to be most active, hardworking and dedicated personality. Reed Exhibition, China is performing commendable task for the growth of the printing and packaging industry. The supported us in hosting the 227th GC meeting at Chandigarh, even they agreed to send gifts for each and every member who will attend the next AGM of OPA on 27th December. We are planning their involvement in the print education also. I am pleased to announce here that Reed has agreed for the charity for the print education in India. Reed has also played vital role for the PAMEX going to be held at Mumbai on 9 to 12 December. I am feeling honoured for the gratitude and the way Mr. Keith came specially from China to congratulate face to face on the behalf of Reed Exhibitions.
