Chandigarh, November 17, 2015: Federal Bank has announced a special reward programme for the customers of the Bank. The Bank’s existing customers who refer a friend or relative for opening a FedBook Selfie savings account will get a cash incentive of Rs.50 per account. The incentive will be credited to the customer’s account immediately on opening and funding of the new accounts.
Fedbook Selfie is the first ever Mobile App for opening a Bank Account. It is a Do-It-Yourself (DIY) App wherein any resident Indian can open Savings Bank account taking a selfie photograph and scanning Aadhaar. The App does online verification of Aadhaar on real-time basis and the account is opened and number generated on the spot. FedBook Selfie is the latest offering from Federal Bank, keeping in tune with the Bank’s commitment to innovate in the digital space and connect with prospective and potential customers across the country through various digital channels such as FedNet, FedMobile FedBook, ScanNPay etc.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. K A Babu, Head-Retail Business, said “It is quite human to share something good with friends and relatives. FedBook Selfie is by far the most convenient mode to open a savings Bank account, making account opening a pleasant experience. Presently, Federal Bank is the only Bank to offer this service. Through this programme, we encourage our happy customers to share this joy with their friends and relatives”.
