FDP on Data Visualization and Decision-Making Concludes Successfully at CT Group, North Campus
CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, in collaboration with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) and the Computer Society of India (CSI), successfully concluded a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Data Alchemy: Mastering Python and BI Tools for Insightful Visualization and Decision Making.”

Jalandhar, July 25, 2025: CT Group of Institutions, North Campus, Maqsudan, in collaboration with I.K. Gujral Punjab Technical University (IKG PTU) and the Computer Society of India (CSI), successfully concluded a one-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled “Data Alchemy: Mastering Python and BI Tools for Insightful Visualization and Decision Making.”
The FDP engaged over 100 faculty members, research scholars, and professionals from across India in both online and offline modes. It aimed to boost participants’ skills in Python, Power BI, and machine learning for data-driven decision-making in academics and research.
The inaugural session was graced by S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chancellor, CT University & Chairman, CT Group; Dr. Nitin Tandon, Executive Director, CT Group & Vice Chancellor, CT University; and Dr. Anurag Sharma, Campus Director.
Sessions were led by Dr. Urvashi Nag, Digital Forensic Analyst at CenCOPS (Chandigarh Police), who delivered practical training using real-world datasets. Key topics included Python basics, EDA using Pandas and NumPy, Power BI dashboards, and machine learning models like classification and clustering.
At the valedictory session, Dr. Anurag Sharma commended the participants’ enthusiasm. Certificates were awarded, and the resource person was felicitated.
