Chandigarh, April 4, 2024: As part of the curriculum for the BSc 6th semester at the Fashion Technology and Vocational Development program, Panjab University is proud to announce the organization of a prestigious fashion show titled "Sheers and Ruban" scheduled for April 10. 

As part of the preparations, the department recently conducted an external jury session on April 3, 2024. Led by the esteemed Chairperson, Dr. Prabhdip Brar, faculty members, and research scholars, the event welcomed three distinguished external jury members. Priya Jagat, owner of Vanity Box, brings a unique blend of expertise in economics and banking to the hospitality industry. Sohni Makkar, owner of Brand Sohni, epitomizes resilience and creativity, leveraging her background in computing and a love for design. Jasmine Bains, owner of Brand Jasmine Bains, as a distinguished member of esteemed jury.
 
A total of 38 collection were presented in the external jury, In the spotlight of the jury, each designer brought a unique vision by showcasing their creativity and ingenuity through their collections. Arunima's biker collection exuded a bold and adventurous spirit, with patchwork details that spoke to the thrill of the open road. Palak's fusion of Himachal traditions with modern fashion was a beautiful tribute to her cultural roots, blending intricate patterns with contemporary silhouettes to create a captivating blend of old and new. Gunjan's collection, inspired by the concept of the parallel universe, transported the audience to another dimension with its avant-garde designs and otherworldly aesthetic, pushing the boundaries of fashion and imagination. Adding to the diverse array of collections, Diskha unveiled her enchanting collection "rooted in nature, drawing inspiration from the serene beauty and organic elements of the natural world. Meanwhile, Kashish shed light on the pressing issue of environmental conservation with her innovative concept of reusable plastic, using fashion as a platform to raise awareness and promote sustainable practices. Lovepreet took a bold stance on women's empowerment with his collection, Bitiya Rani, celebrating the strength, resilience, and grace of women through striking designs and empowering motifs. Each collection, with its unique theme and message, contributed to the richness and depth of the fashion, these designers illuminated their creativity, leaving a lasting impression on the jury members.
