Ludhiana, August 24, 2019: A fashion show- Sfilata Di Moda –cum-exhibition sale that highlighted creativity , sustainability, philanthropy was held and organised by Delhi World Public School, Ludhiana in the school premises under the supervision and support of the principal Deepa Gupta and members of management- Vijay Kansal, Vishal Kansal, Gaurav Gupta, and Jai Gupta.
The evening and the school premises were brightened up by lighting the lamp in the lamp ceremony.
The event brought together the eminent and notable pre- schools of the city, some of them being Daffodils, Kidzee ( Palm Enclave) , Kids Castle, DPS Kids and Sunrise Pre School.
The chief guests and judges Nazuk Shyam Puri, Harinder Kaur Dhanjal and Gurpreet Kaur graced the event with their benign presence on the school campus.
The event was organised as a part of International School Awards activity for which Eklaksh School was the special guest.
The students with special needs also became a part of the event and gave some wonderful and heart touching stage performances.
A special child named Harman also gave a wonderful dance performance.
The principal of Eklaksh School Gurpret Kaur shared with the audience various painful incidents and how she adopted those special children.
All the participants wore attires made with waste products like old CD’s, polythene, sacks, broom sticks and what not. They surely raised the creativity levels and set the bar higher than anything else.
A special round of ramp walk was held for the special children of Eklaksh School with the judges and the principal.
Staff and students of Delhi World Public School hosted the exhibition -Dai Rifintial Wow where they sold the products made with tag- waste to wow and lent all the sale proceeds to Eklaksh School for the betterment of the special children.
The evening was lit with some wonderful and dazzling performances by the students and participants of the show. The Principal of school, Deepa Gupta expressed her gratitude towards the judges and thanked them for taking out some time from their busy schedules for this noble cause and presented them some memento, bouquets, waste to wow dolls and coconut saplings.
The judges announced the results in the end of the show and gave them trophies and certificates for their spell bounding performances and ramp walk.
The evening was ended with the National Anthem where all the audience stood and sang the anthem of the Nation.
