Farmers urged to contact control room in case of fire incidents in fields
To avoid any untoward incident and for restricting the loss of wheat crop in case of any fire incident, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Sunday urged the farmers to contact the fire control helpline so that immediate action can be taken to douse the flames. She said that the administration was committed to facilitate the farmers.

Ludhiana, April 21, 2024: To avoid any untoward incident and for restricting the loss of wheat crop in case of any fire incident, Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney on Sunday urged the farmers to contact the fire control helpline so that immediate action can be taken to douse the flames. She said that the administration was committed to facilitate the farmers.
Further, the farmers were also advised to keep the area around the transformers in the fields clear of any dry grass so that a spark produced by an electric short-circuit does not cause a fire. Further, wheat crop around the transformers must be harvested at first.
