Farewell to Military Service after paying tributes at War Memorial

Jalandhar, August 31, 2025: NCC Group Headquarters Jalandhar, Group Commander Brigadier Ajay Tewari, Sena Medal, was given an emotional farewell at the War Memorial after 35 years of long military service. During his tenure as Group Commander, he did a great job on the life and personality development of more than twenty thousand NCC Cadets. During his tenure, many NCC Cadets have been selected as Commissioned Officers, Agniveer, and soldiers in the Indian Army. He worked on the all-round development of the cadets, leadership and making them responsible citizens. Brigadier Tewari said that he will continue to serve the country in the coming years too. At Jalandhar Group NCC Headquarters was the best tenure of his military life as he got an opportunity to work with twenty thousand cadets of six battalions.
Brigadier A.K. Bhardwaj has taken over as the new Group Commander, who has just been transferred from Chandigarh. Brigadier Bhardwaj has worked in many important positions in the army. After Jat Battalion, Brigade Command, he has done excellent work in many important sensitive staff positions. Brigadier Bhardwaj said that together with all the commanding officers, ANOs and civil staff, we will take Jalandhar NCC to new heights. We have to work together in many areas. We will do our best for the development of the youth. With tireless efforts, dedication and determination, we will make the youth of Punjab responsible citizens. Our effort will be to motivate the cadets towards the armed forces. The youth can be encouraged for many more responsible positions so that their inclination towards foreign countries can be reduced. He said that we can make the country a developed nation in the coming years.
