Farewell given to Prinicpal Meeta Rai at DPS Indirapuram

Ghaziabad: Delhi Public School Indirapuram organized ‘Abhinandan’, a Special Assembly to felicitate and bid adieu to Mrs.MeetaRai, the National Awardee, Educator, Leader and Mentor and Founder Principal DPS Indirapuram.

The occasion was presided over by Mrs.Santosh Bansal, Pro-Vice Chairperson DPS Indirapuram. Other eminent guests present were Mr.Abhishek Bansal, Member Managing Committee DPS Indirapuram, Ms.Nidhi Bansal, Pro-Vice Chairperson Pacific World School.

The programme commenced with a ceremonial welcome and Guard of Honour for Mrs. MeetaRai, Founder Principal DPS Indirapuram. She thereafter unveiled the Roll of Honour, containing her glorious achievements over the last 3 decades.

The ceremony began with a Ganesh Vandanaby the teachers of the dance department. The school Pro-Vice chairperson, Mrs. Santosh Bansal spoke about her immense contribution to the meteoric rise of the school and how she had started it from the very grass root level.

In her address, the Founder Principal. Mrs. MeetaRai, urged the other teachers to keep the banner of DPS Indirapuram flying high with their sincerity, devotion and commitment.

As a tribute to this inspirational leader, a presentation ‘Milestones… down the memory lane’, depicting her phenomenal journey was showcased. The presentation was interspersed with interesting anecdotes and photographs of yesteryears showcasing historic moments such as the first Orientation session, Founder’s Day, Western Music Festival, National Award etc.

The school Headmistresses, Mr. Priya John and Mrs. EramAbedi spoke about the Founder Principal’s Mrs. MeetaRai’s overwhelming personality and unmatched charm and elegance. Mrs. Seema Kaur, Principal, Pacific World School also expressed her unconditional love for the Founder Principal for mentoring her like a friend, philosopher and guide.

Mr. Abhishek Bansal, Member Managing committee DPS Indirapuram and Mrs. Nidhi Bansal, Pro-Vice Chairperson Pacific World School also paid their tribute to the Founder Principal with their heartfelt words of gratitude.

The programme culminated with the Grand Finale wherein all the Coordinators and Representatives of various departments, the Vice Principal, Mrs. SangeetaHajela and the Headmistresses Mrs. Priya John and Mrs. EramAbedi bid adieu to the Founder Principal, Mrs. MeetaRai wishing her the best for her onward journey in this new phase of her life.

The programme ended with a poignant heart touching poem by the school Vice-Principal, Mrs. SangeetaHajelawhich beautifully captured the brilliance of the Founder Principal’s persona and echoed the sentiments of students & teachers alike. This was followed by the Lord’s Prayer wherein teachers lit candles as an ultimate tribute to the Founder Principal, Mrs. MeetaRai, who has truly been the ‘beacon’ of their lives.
