Factory worker dies in road accident in Jamalpur area

Ludhiana, December 30, 2013: A 30 year old factory worker Mahammad Akalu (30) lost his life after being hit by tractor-trolley in Jamalpur area.
The deceased was resident of a locality on the Tajpur road here.
The incident occurred when the deceased was on his way back to his home after the night shift in the factory. According to available information, when he arrived near Meharban octroi post and crossing the road, a tractor-trolley hit him. He died on the spot.
The driver of tractor-trolley managed to flee from the spot. The accused is still to be identified.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Jamalpur.
Further police investigation is in progress.
