Rohtak, September 20, 2026: MDU Registrar Prof. Sandeep Bansal urged students to face life’s challenges without fear and move ahead with confidence. He advised them to develop self-confidence while ensuring it never turns into arrogance.
Prof. Bansal was speaking at the concluding ceremony of a six-day Employability Enhancement Skills workshop organised by the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Career Counselling and Placement Cell and sponsored by Mahindra Pride (Naandi Foundation) Classroom.
The workshop focused on practical training in communication, teamwork, leadership, personality development and interview skills, equipping students with essential workplace competencies.
Department Chairperson Prof. Sumit Gill said skill development, self-reliance and research aptitude are crucial for success in today’s competitive environment. Senior faculty member Prof. Rajiv Kumar stressed the importance of continuous learning and adapting to changing professional demands.
CCPC Director Prof. Divya Malhan said technical knowledge alone was not enough, as students also needed strong soft skills to effectively present their capabilities.
Experts Rajiv Kumar and Vineet Kumar conducted practical sessions on communication, teamwork, leadership and interview techniques. Students participated in activities and exercises aimed at enhancing their personality and professional skills.
Workshop coordinator Dr Meenakshi Hooda presented the training report, while students said the programme helped improve their confidence, personality and professional competencies. Anjali, Anushka, Ashu, Kirti, Bharti and Prince were honoured with awards for outstanding participation.
Dr Anju Panwar proposed the vote of thanks and Dr Monica compered the programme. Prof Seema Mehra, Dr Jagbir Singh, Dr Sonika and other faculty members were present.
