Talking about ‘Matarbhasha Day’ Dr. Surjit Singh asserted that Punjabi Language is one simple, clear and effective language. Its richness reflects the rich heritage of Punjab. He further said that a nation can achieve glory under the patronage of her language but irony in modern times is that our mother-tongue is being ignored by the modern generation in the name of globalisation. It’s a pity that now even Punjabis hesitate to speak their rich language. Along with this the interest in reading books has also been decreased. It’s really sad to see the modern generation forgetting their roots, So we must take effective steps to reverse the situation back to the golden period of mother language. Principal Dr. Inderjit Kaur said that indeed we must leave no stone unturned to promote our rich language because only then we would be able to pay homage to the ‘Gurmukhi’ Language. The interest in reading should also be increased among by telling youth the important of reading books.

S. Ranjodh Singh, President Ramgarhia Educational Council congratulated everyone on the Language day and said that by using our mother- tongue on every possible occasion we can set a strong example for others to use it.
