Ludhiana, February 27, 2013: An extension lecture on “Stress Management” was organised by the P.G. Department of Commerce and Management, Kamla Lohtia S.D College Ludhiana under the able guidance of Prof. Rajesh Marwaha.
Dr. R.S. Arora , Professor , Department of Commerce, Punjabi University, Patiala was the speaker for the occasion. Around 100 students attended the lecture.
Dr. Arora highlighted the importance of stress management in the today’s busy life especially of the youth. He cited a number of case studies and management games to illustrate the young students about the connection of stress with the performance of the individuals. He discussed that economic problems, political uncertainty workplace culture and role conflict among others as the possible causes of stress these days. Time management essentials, work life balance, 80/20 principle for the stressors, nutritious diet etc. were some of the stress busters he advocated to the students.
Prof. Sarita Aggarwal presented a vote of thanks.
Sunil Aggarwal, President, Brij Mohan Ralhan, General Secretary and V.S. Chopra, Secretary of the college managing committee were present to grace the event.
Principal Dr. Shiv Mohan Sharma appreciated the efforts of the department and guided the students to remain stress free in every situation.
