Extension Lecture at BMU on "The Revolution of Artificial Intelligence in Research."
The Department of Library and Information Science, under the Faculty of Humanities at Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, organized an extension lecture in collaboration with the IQAC. The lecture, titled "Artificial Intelligence in Research: Guiding the Revolution," aimed to apprise research scholars, faculty members, and students of the evolving and pivotal role that Artificial Intelligence plays in modern academic research.
Rohtak, April 4, 2026: The Department of Library and Information Science, under the Faculty of Humanities at Baba Mastnath University (BMU), Asthal Bohar, organized an extension lecture in collaboration with the IQAC. The lecture, titled "Artificial Intelligence in Research: Guiding the Revolution," aimed to apprise research scholars, faculty members, and students of the evolving and pivotal role that Artificial Intelligence plays in modern academic research.
As the keynote speaker, Dr. Ramneek—Librarian at MCM DAV College for Women, Chandigarh—elaborated extensively on the utility of AI across various dimensions of research during her lecture. She highlighted that in today's digital era, Artificial Intelligence is playing a crucial role in making research endeavors more accurate, faster, and more effective.
Dr. Ramneek specifically underscored the growing impact of AI-based tools in areas such as literature reviews, academic writing, citation management, plagiarism detection, and data analysis. Demonstrating the practical application of various modern AI platforms, she illustrated how researchers can leverage these technologies to select research topics, conduct systematic reviews, generate summaries of research articles, and enhance their overall productivity.
While discussing the ethical dimensions of AI, she emphasized that the technology must always be utilized with responsibility and transparency. She placed particular emphasis on the imperative to uphold academic integrity while integrating AI into research activities.
Dr. Sheela Dabas, HOD Library and Information Science, highlighted the services and resources offered by the university library, as well as their academic utility. She encouraged students to make optimal use of modern digital resources. The program was coordinated and conducted by Dr. Jitendra Singh, while the proceedings were anchored by Manisha. The event was attended by the department's research scholars, students, and faculty members, including Dr. Pravesh Kumari.
