Expenditure observer to hold special meeting with candidates/representatives tomorrow
With an aim to ensure fair and transparent elections, Expenditure Observer for Ludhiana West by-election Indana Ashok Kumar IRS will be holding a special meeting with the candidates/authorised representatives of candidates and authorised representatives of Political Parties at Bachat Bhawan, mini secretariat, at 11:30am tomorrow , i.e. Thursday (June 12). Returning officer for 64-Ludhiana West By election will also attend this meeting.

Ludhiana, June 11, 2025: With an aim to ensure fair and transparent elections, Expenditure Observer for Ludhiana West by-election Indana Ashok Kumar IRS will be holding a special meeting with the candidates/authorised representatives of candidates and authorised representatives of Political Parties at Bachat Bhawan, mini secretariat, at 11:30am tomorrow , i.e. Thursday (June 12). Returning officer for 64-Ludhiana West By election will also attend this meeting.
As per the directions issued by Election Commission of India (ECI), the meeting will focus on ensuring transparent election. During the meeting, the expenditure observer will provide detailed insights into the electoral process, addressing key topics including the Rs 40 lakh expenditure limit per candidate, strict adherence to the ECI guidelines on Expenditure Monitoring.
Meanwhile, the authorities called for cooperation from all stakeholders to adhere to the Election Commission of India’s guidelines, ensuring a smooth and impartial by-election process.
