Rohtak, September 19, 2025: Eminent AI Trainer and Associate Professor, Central University of Haryana, Mahendragarh, Dr. Ashok Kumar said that everyone needs to be AI enabled. He was addressing a workshop on "AI Literacy and Applications for Media" organized by the Dept. of Journalism & Mass Communication of MDU, Rohtak today.
In the enlightening workshop, Dr. Ashok Kumar dwelled on the various basic and applied aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI), its applications in the media sector, the road map to acquire the AI skills, and the ethical issues of usage of AI. He also dwelled on the increasing use of AI tools in the healthcare sector.
Dr. Ashok Kumar said that in the media sector today, newsrooms are getting increasingly AI-enabled. Upskilling in the AI domain is the need of the hour, he added. He shared various AI tools for use by students. He advised the participants to learn the skills of prompt engineering for successful use of AI tools. The resource person answered the queries of the participants. He also conducted individual and group exercises on usage of AI tools.
Faculty member Sunit Mukherjee made the introductory remarks and welcomed the speaker. Faculty member Dr.Naveen Kumar introduced the speaker. Research Scholars and students attended the workshop.
