Every child shall be covered under Rubella Vaccination in District: Dr Guleri

Dharamshala, July 29, 2017: For the total eradication of Measles, Mumps, and Rubella a signature campaign was stated in the district Hospital at Dharamshala. District Medical Officer Dr.Rajesh Guleri told media that this campaign was started by Ms Rajni Vyas, Mayor Dharamshala Municipal corporation.”

Dr Guleri said that a MMR vaccination programme to protect against measles, mumps, and rubella is being started in the district of Kangra from 1st August, where every child between the age of 9 months to 15 years shall be vaccinated.

Dr said, "In this vaccination programme all the government and private schools and the anganwadis shall be covered by the well trained health officials.

There is a safe and effective vaccine to protect against rubella. The vaccine is given as part of a combination vaccine, called the MMR vaccine that protects against measles, mumps, and rubella.
