Chandigarh, December4,  2025: National BJP leader Sukhminderpal Singh Grewal Bhukhri Kalan said that Punjab today stands at one of the most painful and dangerous turning points in its history. He said that the deadly spread of drugs has reached every city, every village and every lane, silently destroying families and weakening the social, economic and cultural strength of our beloved state. Grewal said that this crisis is no longer just a law and order problem, it is a threat to the dignity, future and very soul of Punjab.

Grewal wrote on his social media account X that at this historic moment, he expresses his deepest heartfelt appreciation, sincere respect and unwavering gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah for their tireless commitment and unmatched dedication to protecting India from internal and external threats. He said that both leaders have always stood firmly with Punjab and the people of Punjab admire their courage, clarity and strong national will.

Grewal said that he bows with love and respect before Prime Minister Narendra Modi whose visionary leadership has strengthened India’s security framework and given new hope to every citizen. He said that the people of Punjab see Modi not just as a Prime Minister but as a guardian of national unity and the protector of future generations.

He said that he also offers his heartfelt gratitude and sincere appreciation to Home Minister Amit Shah whose bold decisions, iron will and uncompromising approach towards national security have earned the trust of the entire nation. Grewal said that Amit Shah has repeatedly proven that when it comes to safeguarding India, he leaves no room for compromise or hesitation and Punjab needs this same fearless approach in the war against drugs.

Grewal told that saving Punjab from the grip of narcotics requires not emotional speeches but strong, concrete, practical and time-bound action. He said that the solutions are clear, achievable and urgent and demand complete honesty, political courage and full cooperation between the Centre, security forces and the people of Punjab.

He said that the first and most critical step is to seal the borders of Punjab with full force. Grewal emphasised that no internal battle can be won unless the external supply chain is crushed permanently. He said that smuggling routes must be shut down through round-the-clock deployment of joint teams of BSF, Punjab Police and the NCB. He added that modern surveillance systems such as drones, night-vision cameras and ground sensors must be installed across all border belts to detect every suspicious movement. Grewal said that anti-tunnel detection squads should be created immediately to identify and destroy underground smuggling tunnels.

He further said that one-kilometre border prevention zones must be established where strict checking of every person and every vehicle becomes mandatory. Grewal said that without stopping the incoming poison from the border, Punjab can never win this war no matter how many operations are launched internally.

Grewal added that this is not a political issue but a humanitarian, social and national issue. He said that every child of Punjab deserves a drug-free future, every mother deserves peace of mind and every family deserves protection from this deadly menace.

He said that he humbly appeals to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to strengthen this mission further so that Punjab can once again rise as a strong, healthy and prosperous state. Grewal said that with the guidance of these two great leaders India has already crushed many threats and now Punjab too can be saved with the same iron determination.

Grewal said that he is fully committed from his heart and soul to this battle and he will continue raising the voice of Punjab with truth, sincerity and unshakable dedication. He said that this is the time for unity, courage and decisive action and under the leadership of Modi and Amit Shah, victory is not just possible but certain.
